As a freelance commercial photographer I have over 20 years of experience in design and advertising photography. Based in the Edinburgh area I offer a full service from capture to digital output or bespoke prints from my own studio. I have worked on a huge variety of projects with a number of different clients from product to landscape and people to places. I am as happy spending time in the studio moving a product a millimetre here and a millimetre there,  as I am sitting on the side of a mountain waiting to get just the right shot (or indeed standing in a muddy field shooting industrial equipment, while around me thousands of people dance to the sounds of Glastonbury).
I have worked for national and international companies, and have been relied upon to deliver a consistent level of quality and professionalism. I have been trusted to travel throughout the UK, and worldwide, shooting in diverse environments as North America, Uganda and South Africa, and my clients have been confident that I will deliver to the highest standards.
I first studied art & design then specialised in photography at Newcastle college, where I graduated with a HND in photography in 1993. Having a fine art background I try to approach each subject in a creative way, yet still maintain a professional and disciplined workflow to finish projects on time and on budget.
I shoot for a variety of mediums including corporate brochures, annual reports, product brochures, website illustration and advertising, either at my studio or on location. I am happy to work with design and advertising agencies or directly for companies.
